These are just some of the bank’s momentous events.

2000
  • The first state-chartered bank to open in the new millennium.

2001
  • Double in size and reach $87.8 million in assets, with 25 employees.

2003
  • Assets reach $140 million.

2004
  • Move into permanent, signature building in downtown Petoskey.  The Bank of Northern Michigan is the largest chartered bank in Emmet and Charlevoix counties.

2006
  • Expand into the Traverse City market.  Assets reach $211 million, with 43 employees.

2007
  • Traverse City permanent, signature building opens in downtown Traverse City in December 2007.

2009
  • John Paul named President of The Bank of Northern Michigan.

2010
  • Assets reach $375 million.
